Ed from Our Town Records and Filmworks contacted me about Chalon, a jazz vocalist he had under his label that needed head shots and possible cover photo for her CD.  I gladly took on this somewhat different genre of photography as I had been shooting engagements/weddings non-stop for the past 4 months.

Met Chalon and her mom and dad @ El Cortez.  It’s always great when family is behind you in your endeavors and it was clear hers were.  LOL, her dad did quickly disappear upon shaking my hand, but that’s understandable….at weddings, I have grooms at times begging me to end the after ceremony photos but I can’t because it’s the bride who’s in command that day!  We started outdoors and as usual (I don’t normally tell this to new models) but first outfits and first sets are just really warm-ups but Chalon looked great in a ton of the first set photos.

We worked the stairwell we found in El Cortez and luckily for us security didn’t stop us from taking any photos and then went back outside for some more photos, which again turned out great.  It’s always easy to get great photos when your subject is very good looking.  Overall for her first time, she did outstanding and we got some great images!  I’ll add them as I finish editing them below.  We’re tentatively scheduled to shoot @ Calico Basin early this week and those will be added below as well when they are taken/edited.  Enjoy the photos :)

Keith and Karina had their wedding at Rhodes Ranch Golf Course, a wonderful location for a wedding.  It was an intimate wedding…everyone seemed to know each other very well.  They had a cellist (Jeremy Russo) and violinist and their wedding officiant was Wanda Tracey who was absolutely great.  Justine Jackson who is the wedding consultant @ Rhodes Ranch Golf Course was very accommodating with any/all requests by the bride and groom.  Throughout the day, the wind was a major concern and also because of cloudy skies, I thought it may be one of the two days it rains here in Vegas, but luckily it did not.

Photos will be added as they are completed. Enjoy and congratulations to both Keith and Karina!

Marra Forni contacted me to photograph their display area @ this year’s 2013 Pizza Expo @ the Las Vegas Convention Center. These guys were awesome and a lot of fun to work for, as you can see from photo above and video below! Sorry for the late posting. I’ve been so busy with photo sessions, etc, i haven’t had hardly any time at all to catch up on my posts, but haven’t been late getting clients their images though :D

Enjoy!

So yesterday, I posted about 30+ variations of one photo of Corrine.   Here are the other images taken (there are a ton more but I won’t be able to finish them all today as I’m about to head to LA).  Her mom Sharon is a hoot, and again it was great working with Corrine.  More images later this week!  Have a great day everyone!

I went to Springs Preserves today to do a Senior Session with Corrine.  Very pretty girl.  She plays the violin and also is a lacrosse player.  As always, mother nature didn’t make it easy on me as it was cold and windy.  Yes, it’s normally windy in Vegas, but it was super windy when Corrine and her mom arrived @ Springs Preserve.  As her mom is from the Philippines, to save from having to pay the fee for professional photos being taken at the location, I became her uncle for the next two hours.

Her mom had shown me what type of images Corrine was looking for and it wouldn’t be difficult to replicate.  Corrine did great and I think we got some great photos.  I decided just to do a ton of versions of one photo for Corrine and her mom so they could see the different styles I could do.  I can actually do over 100+ but got tired after 34 :D

So here are the 34 different versions of one photo of Corrine.

Belen Uriate

[Date of Actual Photo Session - November 14, 2012]

Since I haven’t really done any high class fashion photography since I was back in DC/NYC, I did a quick set with Belen Uriate.  I had worked with Belen two other times prior and she always looked amazing and today was no different.  What’s funny about this session is that I literally had to trick her to do the shoot by saying I was moving away, and it worked!

There were two other sets to this photography session, but again it’s the holidays and I’m trying to catch up so those images will be up later this year or early next year.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!

On October 10th, Maribel Valencia stopped by to do a photo session for a magazine submission.  Unfortunately for those of you reading this, most of the images that were taken during the session are not available to the general public because the magazine doesn’t want images floating around the internet before they get printed in the magazine.

I was able to get Maribel to bring some other outfits so that we could post some up now :)  So here they are.  Hope you all like the photos and I’ll be sure to update you when/where she will be featured when the time comes!  Happy Halloween everyone!

On the 18th of this month (October 2012), I scheduled to do a couples shoot with Angela Wyman and Steve Moorman.  Angela is an actress, singer and dancer that can be seen on advertising for Gold Gate Casino in downtown Las Vegas.  Steve is a professional poker player who’s the tallest person I’ve met thus far here in Vegas.  Due to the sun setting way earlier than I thought, most of the images we got were in the evening though they were great nontheless!

The setting we ended up choosing was the Smith Center of the Performing Arts, which is located in downtown Las Vegas as well.  Unfortunately the evening we did the session, they were having an event in the little cubby hole @ the center of the Smith Center where I really wanted to photograph the two of them.  We ended up getting images around the facility which is very nice as well, then ended our session in front of the Gold Gate Casino.

Extremely nice couple :)  Hope you all like the photos!

Belen Magdaleno

A recent session I did with Belen got featured on Senior Style Guide’s web site.  We did the set @ Tavoli Village, a intimate shopping/event center that just opened this year which is located about 15 minutes away from downtown Las Vegas.  It’s a really nice location and unlike most private properties in Vegas, they had no issue with us doing our photo shoot there as long as we told them what it was for.  Had a blast working with Belen and we got a lot of fantastic images!  Click here to view the feature!

So while waiting for the models to arrive and get ready for a photo shoot I had scheduled @ Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas, I decided to get to the strip an hour or so early to take some photos at night.  Some of the images I got are below, the photographs of the models will be released in the next few weeks, lol!
